Banana Bread Oatmeal | Kitchen Time with Neha
If I have the time for it, oatmeal is one of my favourite breakfasts to make in the morning and enjoy as it so warm, filling and comforting. And I always like to experiment and create new flavours because I would easily grow tired of plain oatmeal. And since Banana Bread is one of my favourite breakfast foods, I decided to make it in the form of oatmeal and I am happy to say it was the best idea ever. The banana lends the oatmeal a natural sweetness which is enhanced by the honey and the spices. And the nuts in the oatmeal help keep you full for longer. It is filling and SO good for you too. You can also add in some other nuts or dark chocolate chips, peanut butter, etc. Go crazy with it. After all it is YOUR bowl of oatmeal! ;)

Ingredients:
*1 ripe banana, mashed
*1/2 cup oats (I used Quaker Oats)
*1 cup water (You can use milk but I like water better)
*1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, plus more for topping
*a pinch of ground nutmeg
*a pinch of salt
*1/4 tsp vanilla extract
*1 tsp honey, plus more for topping
*2 tbsp walnuts
