Hangzhou's Braised Pork Belly
For Pork meat Lovers, here is another cooking that you might like. Hangzhou's way. Slow simmering braised cooking into perfection delicious meal with mushroom, tofu skin knots & hard boiled eggs. 1½ pounds ---- pork belly (skin on & diced 1″ x 1″)
2 Tbsp ------ cooking oil
2 oz. -------- ginger (peel & sliced only)
5 cloves ---- garlic (crushed only)
2 Tbsp ------ rice wine (for sizzle on stir-fry pork)
¼ cup ----- light soy sauce
1 tsp -------- dark soy sauce
2 Tbsp ------ oyster sauce
1/4 cup ----- dark brown sugar
3 pcs. ------- star anise
2 cups ------- water
8 pcs. -------- hard boiled eggs (shelled)
5 oz. --------- dried bean curd skin knots (to sofien with water)
5 pcs. -------- dried shiitake mushrooms (soften then diced)

NOTE: those last 2 ingredients need to soak in water for an hour to soften
