Best Korean Chicken Wings Recipe
I love going out for Korean chicken wings, but it’s also easy to bake a version of this wings recipe at home. One of the signature ingredients in Korean hot wings is gochujang, a flavorful fermented chili pepper paste. If you can’t find gochujang, then just substitute your favorite BBQ sauce. Your chicken won’t be as “Korean” without gochujang sauce, but the sesame oil and soy sauce will give your baked wings plenty of Asian flavor. And baked chicken wings are easy to cook, less mess and healthier than fried chicken wings, so it’s a great choice for dinner.

In a bowl, combine all of the sauce ingredients. Toss the wings with the sauce, then arrange the wings on a wire rack over a baking pan. Bake the wings 40-50 minutes until cooked through, turning and basting occasionally with the remaining sauce.

That’s it! Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions.

Tips for this Baked Korean Wings Recipe:

Gochujang adds great flavor, so buy it if you can find it. You can check the price for Gochujang on Amazon https://amzn.to/2N8Un3v, but this korean hot pepper sauce is becoming very popular and can be found in many mainstream U.S. grocery stores in the international foods section.

If you can’t find gochujang, substitute your favorite BBQ sauce, the dish will still have plenty of Asian flair with the added soy sauce and sesame oil.

Bake you chicken on a wire rack to keep the wings from becoming a soggy mess.

Place aluminium foil under your baking rack to make cleanup a breeze.
