Dulce De Leche Cake Recipe - Milk Caramel Cake

Cake in grams and cups ( Dulce de leche cake base) :

- 60 gr Soft Butter ( 1/2 stick )
- 15 gr Coconut Oil (1 Tbsp)
- 70 gr Dulce De Leche ( 2.5 ounces) OR 60 gr Brown Sugar ( 1/3 cup)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Eggs
- 180 gr All Purpose Flour ( 1 1/3 cup)
- 1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 120 gr Milk (1/2 cup)
- Pinch of Salt

Like I mentioned in the video, this cake is designed to NOT be sweet.

Dulce de leche:

- 1.5 liters Whole Milk ( 6 cups )
- 450 gr Sugar ( 2 1/4 cups)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt

I cooked my dulce de leche for exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on your flame. For a thicker consistency, cook the dulce de leche for 10 min longer.
You can either use two 5 inch pans OR one 8 inch pan. Assemble cake when ready to serve.
