Ingrediens for the Ultimate Beef Chili

500g Ground Beef
1 Can of Tomatoes
Olive Oil
1 Onion
1 Clove of Garlic
400 ml Beef Broth
3 tbsp. Chili Powder
1 tbsp. Cumin
2 tbsp. Paprika Powder
1 tbsp. Onion Powder
1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tbsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 good & strong Espresso
1/2 tbsp. Salt (to taste)
1/2 tbsp. Black Pepper (to taste)
Sour Cream
Cheddar Cheese

How to prepare the Ultimate Red Texas Beef Chili

Preheat a cast iron pot over medium high heat and add some oil. Chop up an onion and add into the hot pot. Sauté until softened, add the garlic and the ground beef and let brown slightly. Then add the can of chopped tomatoes, pour on the beef broth, close the lid - not completely covered - and lower the heat (3 out of 9) and let simmer for 1 hour.

After 1 hour, add the chili & paprika powder, cumin, onion & garlic powder and the cayenne pepper. Give it a good stir, cover the lid again and cook for 1 more hour.

In the meantime, make a very good espresso and add it together with salt & pepper to the beef chili.

Cook for one more hour and serve the Texas Chili with some grated cheddar cheese and sour cream.
