STEAK IN CREAMY MUSHROOM SAUCE
Pan seared juicy steak smothered in creamy mushroom sauce on your table less than 20 minutes. It is so tasty and delicious. This steak recipe is perfect for any occasion. Can be grilled or pan seared.

Recipe serves 2

1 Lb ribeye steak or your choice of steak
1 Tsp fresh cracked peppercorns
1/2 Tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste

For creamy mushroom sauce:
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
8 Oz mushrooms-sliced
1/2 onion-diced
1 Tsp dried or fresh thyme
1/4 Cup low sodium beef broth
1/4 Cup white wine or broth
1/4 Cup heavy cream
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan
1 Tbsp miso-optional
Salt and pepper to taste

Miso adds depth and boldness of flavor.
So, if you have it on hand definitely use it.

How long to cook steak?
(Minutes given is per side)
Rare-steak, remove steak from heat at 125 F, about 1-2 minutes each side
Medium-rare,135 F about 3-4 minutes
Medium, 145 F about 4-5 minutes
Medium-well, 155 F about 5-6 minutes
Well-done, 165 F about 7-8 minutes
