SPICY BASIL FISH
This Lao/Thai braised catfish nuggets is spicy, savory and delicious. You can use any fish that you like. If using fish fillets cut down water to 1/2 cup because it cooks much quicker.

1.5 lbs catfish nuggets or other fish
1 Tbsp oil
1-1 1/2 Tbsp Thai red curry paste
5 Cloves garlic
8 Dried/fresh chilies or to taste
1/2 Onion-sliced
1/2 Red bell pepper-cut into strips
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 Tsp salt or to taste
2 Tsp chicken bouillon or 1 tsp msg
1 Cup water
1 Cup Thai basil
1 Tbsp fish sauce

If you don’t want it too spicy remove chili seeds or use less. Most fish are very tender be careful not to over stir or stir gently. It’s best to taste the broth before adding the fish so, after the fish is cooked you just need to adjust a little bit more.
