Rutabaga Recipe: Rutabaga Soup Recipe
Rutabaga is a fall-winter root vegetable. It is also known as swede, neep, Swedish turnip, and yellow turnip. Tip: Rutabaga’s flesh is yellow while turnip’s flesh is white. Also rutabaga is often sold with wax on the skin.

Serves 4 (yields 4 cups)
Ingredients:
450g rutabaga, peeled and cut into same bite-size chunks
1 small onion, peeled and cut into same bite-size chunks
10 pinches of salt
10 sprinkles of black pepper
15ml olive oil
4 cups (1000ml) chicken stock
1 cup (250ml) chicken stock on the side in case later you want to thin the soup
