FRENCH TOAST - Quick and Easy
The best French toasts I’ve ever had is made with Brioche bread. This bread has a sweet and buttery flavor, which contributes to the overall flavor. When it’s soaked with egg and cooked, the bread is soft and sweet in the inside and pleasantly crispy on the outside. You can use challah or French Baguette but the best bread is brioche. This bread is so fluffy and soft it does the best job soaking the sweet egg mixture. This recipe is quick and easy to make. Serve with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruits, maple syrup, butter, whipped cream, and powdered sugar.

Recipe for 8

1 Loaf Brioche bread-cut into 1” thick slices
6 Large eggs-beaten
1 Cup half and half or whole milk
3 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp cinnamon

It’s best to use cream, half and half or whole milk for the recipe.
You can use milk substitute but the flavor will change.

Notes: Dip each slices of bread only about 5-10 seconds per side. If you leave in the egg mixture too long it absorbs too much and it will fall apart when you fish it out. However, if using French Baguette you can soak about 10-20 seconds per side because this bread is more dense.
