A lamington is an Australian cake which is traditionally made using vanilla cake which is a day or two old. It is coated with chocolate sauce and coconut and the result is a delicious treat that you just cannot resist. The recipe I am sharing is quite simple and easy to make although there are quite a few variations of the lamingtons which I might share with you later ;) And these taste just like 'Bounty'chocolate bar so if you are a fan of those, you will definitely love these. Ingredients:

For Cake:
*125 g (1 1/4 cups) all purpose flour
*1 tsp baking powder
*1/4 tsp baking soda
*125 g (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp) butter, at room temperature
*175 g (3/4 cup + 2 tbsp) sugar, powdered
*1 tsp vanilla extract
*2 eggs
*2.5 tbsp buttermilk
*1/3 cup milk

For Chocolate Sauce:
*250 g (2 cups) powdered sugar
*30 g (1/3 cup) cocoa powder
*25 g (2 tbsp) butter
*1/2 cup milk

*200 g dessicated coconut (for coating)
