Cantonese whole fish in ginger sauce

2 # ---- fried fish (whole) (meaty fish of your choice)
2 T ---- cooking oil
3 T ---- ginger (minced)
1 T ---- garlic (minced)
3 T ---- green onions (chopped)
** pre mix braising mix **
1 C ---- water
3 T ---- light soy sauce
1 T ---- each, Chinkiang vinegar, rice wine, sesame oil,
& broad bean paste with chili
1/4 t --- white pepper
** slurry ** 1/8 C -- water & 1 t -- corn starch
** for garnishing **
some green onions strips
