Introduce Seasonal Japanese Sweets Wagashi only made by Akafuku
this time, i will show you Japanese famous seasonal Wagashi "Tsuitachi Mochi".

"Tsuitachi Mochi" is a popular Japanese sweet made by Japanese confectionery shop "Akafuku" and "Tsuitachi" means 1st of every month in Japanese.
Tsuitachi mochi is sold on the first day of every month at the Akafuku store in Ise at Mie prefecture / Japan.

This sweet is considered auspicious, and many people line up when it is sold if we get it, we have to go very early in the day.

But we can buy these sweets without going to Ise. If you make a reservation for the next month's Tsuitachi mochi about a month in advance at stores in department stores in Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Hyogo and Mie, you can buy them on the 1st of the following month.

This introductory video is a compilation of footage I've shot over the years.
Prices range from 1,600 to 1,800 yen. Other smaller sizes are also available.
My favorites are Rishun Daikichi Mochi in February and Mugite Mochi in June.
