Make CHEESY ITALIANO like McDonald's at home|Burger Buns recipe|Onion Cheese sauce|Yummylicious
This is another recipe from the new menu of McDonald's Flavors without border - Italian.
To be honest, this is my new favorite since right from the burger style everything is different and perfect in its own way.
So here is Italian Cheesy burger recipe by Yummylicious.
I hope you guys enjoy this from scratch Italian burger recipe.

This recipe makes 3 Italiano Cheesy Burgers

Step 1 : Multigrain Burger Buns

- All purpose flour (1 & 1/2 Cups )
- Salt to taste
- Mix it well
- Sugar (1 Tsp)
- Instant yeast (1 Tsp)
- Milk Powder (1/4 Cup)
( Milk powder makes the bread very very soft )
- Mix it
- Warm Water ( approximately 1/2 Cup)
- Softened Butter (1/4 Cup)
- Knead to incorporate the butter
- Knead for 5 - 7 min or until smooth on surface.
- Oil the bowl & the dough
- Cover with cling wrap / towel
- Rest for 2 hours / until doubled in size
- Punch it
- Knead it very lightly
- Roll keeping thickness 2.5 - 3 cm
( keeping in mind we are making a burger )
- Cut a square shape for burger
- Put it on parchment paper
- Spray some water
McDonalds uses following grains on the top :
( You can skip any of them )
- Flaxseeds
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Bulgur Wheat ( broken wheat )
( Soak in hot water for 15 min )
- Sesame Seeds
- Crushed Red Chilli powder/ Cayenne Pepper ( Tikhalal )
- Pre-heat Oven 200C & bake for 15 min
- Spray water in the oven after every 5 min
- Just after the buns are out of the oven
- Apply melted butter
- Wrap in wet towel & let it cool down
( This will make the bun very soft so do not skip this step. Also wrap it when the buns are hot so that the steam will be trapped making it soft )
- Cut the burger bun in half
- You could see the in video how the perfect texture and soft bun it is.

Step 2 : Onion Cheese Sauce

- Oil (1 Tsp)
- Butter (2 Tbsp)
- Onion (2 Tbsp)
- Salt
- Cook till onions become translucent
- Milk (1/2 Cup)
- Boil for 4 - 5 min
- Reduce the milk
- Put through sieve to get onion flavored milk
- Put the milk again in sauce pan
- Processed Cheese ( 1 Cup)
- Stir continuously on low flame
- Reduce till you get a sauce consistency
- Put the sauce in a bowl
- Put a cling wrap such that it touches the surface

Step 3 : Burger Patty
- Mashed Potatoes (1 Cup)
- Red Bell Pepper (2 Tbsp)
- Boiled Corn Kernels (2 Tbsp)
- Boiled Green Peas (3 Tbsp)
- Boiled diced Carrots (2 Tbsp)
- boiled French Beans (2 Tbsp)
- Mix it well
- Cornflour (2 Tbsp)
- Cumin powder (1/2 Tsp)
- Coriander powder (1/2 Tsp)
- Dry Mango Powder (1/4 Tsp)
- Yellow Chilli powder (1 Tsp)
- Pinch of clove & cinnamon powder
- Onion powder (1/2 Tsp)
- Garlic Powder (1.2 Tsp)
- Salt to taste
- Mix it well
- Form circular disc with thickness 1.5 cm
( Diameter depends on the burgen buns )
- Freeze it until hard

Wet Slurry :
- All purpose flour ( 2 Tbsp)
- Corn flour ( 2 Tbsp)
- Corn meal ( 2 Tbsp)
- Salt & pepper
- Gradually add water to make slurry

- Coat the patty with all purpose flour
- Dip it in slurry
- Cover with breadcrumbs & remove excess
- Freeze until hard
- Fry in medium hot oil till golden brown

Step 4 : Italian Spice mix

- Basil (1 Tsp)
- Oregano (1 Tsp)
- Sage (1/4 Tsp)
- Marjoram (1/4 Tsp)
- Paprika (1/4 Tsp)
- Garlic Powder (1/2 Tsp)
- Black pepper (1/4 Tsp)
- Crushed red pepper ( kutilal ) (1/4 Tsp)
- Put the spices in mortar pestle
- Salt to taste
- Oil (1/2 Tsp)
- Grind it to mix it very well.

Step 5 : Assembling

- Toast the burger buns
- Flip the top bun
- Apply Onion cheese sauce ( if the sauce becomes thick, microwave for 20 - 30 sec )
- Shredded lettuce
- Julienned Onions
- Italian spice mix ( 1 Tsp)
- Place the patty on the top
- Put the bottom burger bun and flip it
- Perfect burger recipe ( everything made from scratch)

You can make or skip any elements you want but trust me if you make it all, everyone will love it more than Mcdonalds.
