Make Veg McMuffin like McDonald's at home| Eggless English muffins recipe| Yummylicious
Recently I tried the breakfast menu of McDonald's and I simply loved it. So wanted to make all at home. So the first recipe that I made is Veg McMuffin which has a spinach and corn patty which makes it simply yummylicious.
So here is the recipe :
Step 1 :
English Muffins

- Instant Yeast ( 1 Tsp )
- Sugar ( 1/2 Tsp )
-Warm Milk (1/4 Cup)
- Rest for 10 min
- You will see that the yeast is activated and the mixture is all cloudy.
( If your mixture doesn't turn cloudy, then either yeast is dead ( use different yeast ) or the milk temperature is either cold ( did not activate ) or milk temperature is very hot ( yeast died )

- In another bowl
- All purpose flour ( 1 & 1/2 cup)
- Citric acid ( 1/4 Tsp)
( Substitute : 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice )
- Baking powder (1/4 Tsp)
- Salt to taste
- Sift all the ingredients
- Pour in the yeast mixture
- Oil ( 3 Tbsp )
- Mix it roughly
- Add warm water to make a soft and sticky dough
( It should be a bit difficult to handle )
- Pour some oil and knead for 5 - 7 min
- Oil the bowl and the dough
- Rest for 1 - 2 hours or until the dough is doubled in size
- Divide the dough in 4 parts
- Roughly form a ball
- Using the surface form a perfect ball
- Sprinkle cornmeal on the parchment paper
- Place the balls on it
- Sprinkle some more cornmeal on the top of each ball
- Cover & rest it for 30 - 40 min
- Or until they increase in size
- In a pan, put 1/2 Tbsp Butter
- Carefully lift the ball and place in the pan
( Take care not to deflate the air )
- Spray water on the top of buns
( This prevents the skin formation )
- Fry on both sides until golden brown
- Put the flame on low
- If you feel that the buns must be undercooked then you can further cook it in Oven, at 180C for 8 - 10 min
- Cover & let it for 15 min
- Steam will cook it further & also make it softer
- To halve the bun use fork

Step 2 : Spinach & Corn Patty
- Chop Spinach leaves ( 1 Cup) & Green Chilli ( According to your taste ) very finely
- I have used food processor which gives you the exact texture
- In a pan,
- Oil (1/2 Tbsp)
- Butter (1 Tbsp)
- Put chopped spinach
- Saute for a min
- Boiled Corn (1/2 Cup)
- Salt to taste
- Saute until raw spinach flavor disappears
- Cumin Powder (1/2 Tsp)
- Coriander powder (1/2 Tsp)
- White Pepper ( 1/2 Tsp)
- Garlic Powder (1/2 Tsp)
- Mashed Potatoes (1 Cup)
- Mix it well until the whole mixture comes together
- Place a cookie cutter on the parchment paper
- put 2 Tbsp mixture in the cookie cutter
- Press it down with a spoon
- Carefully take out the cutter
- Makes 4 Patty
- Freeze until hard
- On the pan put some oil and shallow fry the patties

Step 3 : Assembling

- Put some butter on the pan & toast the buns
- On the top Bun
- Put the patty
- Place American Cheese Slice on it
- Put the bottom bun and flip it
- Serve it as breakfast and impress everyone with this easy peasy recipe
