Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding Cake| So much Better than Choco Lava Cake|Molten lava cake for party
This cake or you could call pudding cake certainly so so so much better than having a small lava cake. All your brownie and choco lava cake lovers here is center piece of every party, Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding Cake. This is a eggless version of self saucing pudding cake.
Let's get on with the process & ingredient list :

Sauce :
- Brown Sugar (1/2 cup)
( Substitute : 1/3 white sugar )
- Cocoa Powder (2 Tbsp)
- Water ( 300ml or 1 & 1/4 cup )
- Whisk until all sugar is melted
- Let it boil for 1 min
- Set it aside till we make the cake batter
- Butter ( 60 grams or 1/4 cup )
- Dark Chocolate ( 1/3 cup )
- Microwave for 30 sec or melt in double boiler
- Stir until smooth
- You can microwave it if its not smooth
- Slowly add milk (1/2 cup)
- Whisk until milk is well incorporated
- Vanilla extract (1/4 tsp)
- Put a sieve on the bowl
- All purpose flour (2/3 cup)
- Baking powder (1/4 Tsp)
- Caster Sugar (2/3 Cup)
- A pinch of soda
- Cocoa Powder (1/4 Cup)
( I have used Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder )
- Sift all the dry ingredients
- Use Cut & Fold method to all the dry ingredients properly
- You can add a tbsp or 2 milk to loosen up the batter a bit
- Put it in a skillet/ Casserole/ any oven safe bowl
- You can even put it in a deep cake tin
- Flatten it out
- Pour the sauce over it
( After baking the sauce will settle down and make molten lava at the base )
- Pre-heat oven at 180C & bake for 35 min
- Do not bake for long otherwise there won't be any sauce left
- Most of the top parts should be set ( not compulsory all the parts should set )
- Let it rest for 5 min
- Serve hot self saucing chocolate pudding cake with vanilla ice cream.
