Steam Fish in Tamarind Sauce
Steam fish in tamarind sauce is a savory dish that is a little sweet and sour. If you like fish give this recipe a try; it is healthy and delicious.
Recipe serves 2
1 Whole fish-cleaned
2/3 Water
1 1/2 Tbsp tamarind pulp
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp fish sauce
1 Tbsp oil
1/4 Tsp salt plus 1/8 tsp for fish rub
1 Tsp chicken bouillon
1 Tsp corn starch+2 tbsp water
4 Cloves garlic-minced
1/2 Cup onion-sliced
1/2 Cup bell peppers-cut into stripes
chili powder to your taste
Cilantro for garnish
As with all Lao dishes adjust the taste to your liking.
