Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 6 pieces of Chicken
- 250 ml Butter Milk
- 2 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Ginger Powder
- 1/2 tsp Mixed Herbs
- 1/4 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
- Salt to Taste
Preparation Method :
— In a Bowl, add buttermilk, chilli powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, ( u can add onion powder as well ), mixed herbs, paprika, black pepper and salt, combine everything together.
— Add chicken pieces to buttermilk mixture, mix well and marinate for minimum 4- 5 hours, taste will be better with marination of 8 hours.
— Add 1 cup all purpose flour in a wide bowl, add chill powder, salt and black pepper, mix well using fork.
— Coat marinated chicken pieces in a flour mixture and then place it in a large plate
— Heat oil for deep fry
— Drop chicken in a hot oil, fry each side for about 7 - 8 minutes or until crispy in a texture
— Serve hot Buttermilk Fried Chicken in favourite sauce
