Pecan Pie Bars | Kitchen Time with Neha
If you have tried making a pie, you definitely know how difficult it can be (especially the crust). But these Pecan Pie Bars are a perfect shortcut to a Pecan Pie as they take lesser time to make and they are easy to make too. And they taste YUM. The pecan filling tastes like caramel goodness along with the crunchy nuts and the buttery crust is just heaven. You can also use any other nuts like walnuts or almonds if you don't have pecans on hand. Make sure to try these and enjoy while they last! ;)
Ingredients: (Makes 12 bars)
For the crust:
*1 cup (125 g) all purpose flour
*1/4 cup (50 g) powdered sugar
*1/2 cup (100 g) salted butter, softened
For the filling:
*1/4 cup (50 g) salted butter
*1/4 cup (50 g) brown sugar
*1/4 cup (85 g) honey
*1 tbsp fresh cream
*1 egg, at room temperature
*1/2 tsp vanilla extract
*1.5 cups (150 g) pecans, roughly chopped
