STEAK IN CREAMY CAJUN SHRIMP SAUCE - Surf and Turf
Steak in creamy cajun shrimp sauce is super delicious and easy to make gourmet steak recipe. It’s perfect for any occasions. The steak is serve smothered in creamy cajun shrimp sauce and mixed vegetable side. Ready on your table less than 30 minutes. Pan seared or grilled!

Recipe serves 2

2 (12 ounces) New York strip or ribeye steaks
Cajun seasoning to taste
1 Tbsp oil
8-10 Extra large shrimp-peeled and deveined

It’s best to leave steaks out 30 minutes at room temperature before cooking.

For the sauce
1 Tbsp butter
2 Cloves garlic-chopped
1/2 Cup heavy cream
1/4 Cup chicken broth
1 Tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 Tbsp cajun seasoning
1 Tbsp parmesan cheese-grated
1 Tbsp fresh parsley-chopped plus extra for garnish
1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
Add more chicken broth if the sauce is too thick and adjust the taste to your liking.

Mixed vegetables for side
1/2 Zucchini-sliced
1/2 Red bell pepper-sliced
1/2 Cup broccoli florets-chopped
1/4 Cup chicken broth
1 Tsp olive oil
Lemon pepper to taste
Use any vegetables you like.

How long to cook steak?
(Minutes given is per side)

Rare-steak, remove steak from heat at 125 F, about 1-2 minutes each side
Medium-rare,135 F about 3-4 minutes
Medium, 145 F about 4-5 minutes
Medium-well, 155 F about 5-6 minutes
Well-done, 165 F about 7-8 minutes
