Ingredients
120g moong dal
150 g all purpose flour
2 tbsp ghee or oil
1 tsp carom seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chilli flakes
salt to taste
1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves
water as required
oil for deep frying
Points to remember:
Do not fry in hot oil.
Knead a tight dough.
You can soak the moong dal in hot water to reduce the preparation time by half.
