Tater Tots| Homemade Crispy Tater Tots| Easy Evening Snacks| Yummylicious
Tater Tots is one of my favorite frozen food. So easy & crispy evening snack.
Tater Tots has become my favorite since Buzzfeed Tasty started their amazing creations and that made me do a homemade version, So that we can skip store bought tater tots.
Ingredients :
- Take sauce pan
- 2 large potatoes ( approx 200 gms )
- Water
- Bring it to boil
- Boil for 2 min
( Parboil the potatoes so that it has texture after grating it )
- Cover it & let it cool
( The steam will further cook the pottaoes & will make it perfect )
- To check : Put a knife in it. It should easily get pierced.
( The potatoes shouldn't be soft neither hard )
- Peel off the skins
- Use grater with large holes to grate
- If there's water in it then squeeze it out
- Put the squeezed potato in the bowl
- Onion Powder (1 Tsp)
- Garlic Powder (1 Tsp)
- Oregano (1/2 Tsp)
- Basil (1/2 Tsp)
- Optional Smoked Paprika (1/4 Tsp)
- Salt & pepper
- Cornflour (1 & 1/2 Tbsp)
- Fresh Coriander/ Parsley ( 2 Tbsp)
- Mix it well
- Shape it into small cylinders
( Approx width : 3/4 inch and Length : 1 inch )
- Refrigerate for 30 min or until its hard
- Heat Oil on medium flame
( To bake : Pre-heat Oven at 200C. Sprinkle oil on the parchment and on the tots. Bake for 15 min or until the golden brown and turn the tots halfway so that it is cooked evenly. )
- Check if it is hot by putting a small piece.
- If it sizzles, then it is ready.
- Fry tots until golden brown.
- Drain excess oil on a paper towel.
- So this is it.. Amazing, easy, crispy evening snack is ready.
- Serve it hot and enjoy this yummylicious snack.
