How to make a Peter Luger Steak at Home:

Season your T-Bone Steak (or originally a Porterhouse) with salt to taste from both sides. Preheat your broiler (BEEFER) - yes the one in your kitchen at the highest temperature would work as well - and sear the steak for approximately 40-45 seconds per side. Of course the broiler in your kitchen might take a little bit longer.

Tip. Preheat a cast iron pan as hot as possible - works fine as well.

Then, cut the Steak into finger thick pieces, drizzle some (a lot) butter over the steak, and place underneath the broiler (approx. 180°C / 356°C) as far away from the broiler as possible and sear until desired doneness is reached.

Serve with some of the butter - Peter Luger calls this Vitamins - and enjoy one of the most tastiest, delicious and juicy steak ever!

Stay tuned see you soon, your Christian from COOK WITH ME.AT
